I have been waiting for the Dinar to RV for about a year now and at first I got sucked into the rhetoric that it was tomorrow, or next week, or right around the corner. Well, all those have happened and still nothing. I have read people state that "a high official said...", "Wells Fargo is sending out info on how and when to RV", etc. In all cases, nothing, nothing happens.

I ask a simple question: who are these people?

Other questions are: where do these people live? I have friends who ARE in Iraq and they say there is NOTHING happening in any manner dealing with the RV...period.

Another question: I suspect there are millions of Dinars that have been purchased by Americans and I just wonder if there is sufficient dollars to handle an RV of virtually any amount?

I would love to see some verifiable, factual answers.

Thank you.

First off, Bank Rumors are all :bs2 just a FYI for you

I ask a simple question: who are these people?

We are not sure, at least of what their goals are. They pump up the people, whether for their 15 minutes of fame or maybe they get a kickback on dinar sales.... nothing has ever been proven except that they are wrong 100% of the time

Other questions are: where do these people live? I have friends who ARE in Iraq and they say there is NOTHING happening in any manner dealing with the RV...period.

Most of the pumpers "Guru's" are stateside with rumors of boots on the ground in Iraq, again we have found thier so called intell 100% wrong and misleading

Another question: I suspect there are millions of Dinars that have been purchased by Americans and I just wonder if there is sufficient dollars to handle an RV of virtually any amount?

When this finally goes down, remember most of the money will simply be electronic money so I think they can more than handle it

I would love to see some verifiable, factual answers.

Thank you.

Grumpy pretty much summed it up. I will comment on one of your questions though.

Quote [Another question: I suspect there are millions of Dinars that have been purchased by Americans and I just wonder if there is sufficient dollars to handle an RV of virtually any amount?].

It's probably more like tens of billions. If not hundreds. I recall one website alone a while back. They had a banner on their webpage boasting "Over 1 Billion Dinars sold". Or something similiar to that.

Thank you for your responses. Being retired military, I have some experience with RVing; it can be a problem.

One of my major concerns is that as the US troops leave (31 Dec 2011 is the date for ALL combat troops to be out), I think Iraq is going to be in a very serious bind and that will, w/o doubt, impact the RV--in fact, the entire Middle East is going to be iffy.

Let's hope it doesn't happen; a lot of good people may be killed by the terrorists...as happened when we left Vietnam.

If Odumbo sticks to his early troop withdrawal with Iraq not ready for 100% of their own defense, and with Maliki cozy with the Iranian leaders......then if we have not seen an RV before then...I feel we are screwed cuz I fear Iran will pretty much take over Iraq. Not meaning militarily, but politically and economically.

Odumbo should have his ass kicked for ever announcing troop withdrawal. That jeapordizes the troop safety and effectivenes....but once again...when has he ever cared about our troops or all they been thru in Iraq?

Yes, I agree with you; that could very well happen and DEFINITELY the RV is over.

I do wonder why the heck Big Ears is sending troops into Uganda????? Doesn't make any sense to me.

I personally think the U.S. Troop withdrawal will most influential for us as dinar holders. I'm a firm believer that the main reason the IDQ has not valued up is because of the presence of the U.S. dollar in Iraq. Among other things that need to occur in order for an RV, the U.S. dollar cash cow has to dry up. The Iraqis will milk that cow to the very end, for every penny they can get before they RV their own currency.

Well, Rockhopper, Obama has now officially announced the ET of the withdrawal. I got off the conference call with troops in Iraq a few moments ago and things really getting hectic due to the withdrawal as you may imagine.

I do not know if what you suggest means that this means the RV will take place is accurate. I hope it is, but I have a hunch that it will not happen now. IF peace remains and there is not a civil war and if Iran is kept at bay and the oil fields are opened up fully, perhaps it will happen. I don't know if any of that is going to happen either.

I think we will know for sure by the end of the year. Let's pray that our soldiers get out safely and that the Iraqi people don't descend into all out war.

I'm not and never have said the troop withdrawal would be the trigger for an RV. I'm saying it is one of the many things that needs to occur before an RV will happen. The hydrocarbon law is also an event on my shortlist of things that needs to occur. Regardless, the U.S. dollar cash cow has to dry up. That's for sure.

Personally, I'm a big fan of slow growth for the IQD. The IQD used to increase a few pips every week prior to the last quarter of '08 when Shabibi froze the rate in order to battle inflation. That alone tells me we need neither the HCL nor the troop withdrawal in order for the IQD to increase in value. By every financial definition, every time the IQD increased by even a single pip, that was an RV. But if you want the IQD to be elevated to a realistic and valid value, I feel we need those things cited above.

Yes. Let's pray for the safety of the troops as they prepare to leave Iraq.
