[enorrste] OK, all, if you’ll give me the floor for a few minutes I have some comments

[enorrste] Well, folks, the three Amigos are sorry that we didn’t have a conference call tonight. It came about that way for several reasons, actually.

[enorrste] First, Elvis is offshore and has trouble getting a good connection by phone, so he said he wouldn’t be on. Prior to that Rodney had called me and told me that he was going out of town with his family and wouldn’t be on as well.

[enorrste] So, not wanting to do the whole 2 hours plus alone I decided to “lay low” as well.

[enorrste] But I do have a few things that I can impart for your edification.

[enorrste] We saw in the last few days that the UN announced that due to the fluctuation of the Euro it would be changing exchange rates on several large countries and several countries whose currency is connected to the larger countries.

[enorrste] As you know we have reported in the last several weeks that the total number of countries expected to RV is up to 24 now, having started at 11 in December of last year.

[enorrste] Then we received information from two sources yesterday indicating that Wells Fargo Bank had been notified by the Federal Reserve to gear up for an RV this week. Specifically they were told to be ready to go on the 12th but that the official announcement would be on the 14th.

[enorrste] Furthermore, the information received said that several countries would RV at the same time and that the IQD was among them. The dong was not mentioned either way.

[enorrste] Not surprisingly, this information tied in exactly with the UN article, including the dates and that several countries would RV simultaneously.

[enorrste] Today, from another high source, we are learning a little more. It appears that the PM position will be announced on Friday.

[enorrste] We had been told by an article yesterday that Maliki and Allawi would meet today and that after their meeting they were going to announce a “big surprise”. This was in the press.

[enorrste] It is now clear that the meeting was not held today but will be held within the next 48 hours

[enorrste] Of course we thought that the surprise would be the RV, and it still might. But it is more likely that the big surprise is that they have worked out a compromise of some sort to avoid a civil war in Iraq.

[enorrste] The delay of the announcement until Friday the 14th could mean that the RV would be part of the surprise. We just do not know yet.

[enorrste] On the other hand, one of our members here has heard from a Treasury source that the RV is going to be announced the 24th or 25th. Another source extended that window to the 31st.

[enorrste] As you can see, this “intel” game is very tricky at best. It is also quite frustrating, like shooting at a moving target. However, we do the best we can day by day.

[enorrste] For me, I like the UN document the most. This was presented directly from the UN, and, unlike Iraq, they do not fiddle around. If they say they are going to do something, they do it. So I am still cautiously optimistic that the RV is now already in place (this being the 12th) and that it will be officially announced on Friday the 14th. It may even be announced at the announcement of the new PM position.

[enorrste] In any case, my friends, our long ride is clearly coming into the station. Those who are still thinking June, July, or even August will be shown to be in error, IMO. The simple fact is that by law they have to do it before June 15 in order to draw in all the large notes by the end of the year.

[gankans] Good point!

[enorrste] They have to give 6 months notice (hence the term “by law”).

[enorrste] However, the current world situation will, IMO, force the RV to happen much sooner, and that is indicated also in the UN document.

[enorrste] The Euro is in near freefall as the “house of cards” of socialist governments in Europe begins to topple. If Greece is not “repaired” quickly then it moves to Portugal, then England, Germany, and even possibly to the USA.

[enorrste] These enormous debts are causing the house of cards to collapse. Again, IMO we are going to see these RVs, and the IQD in particular, as a catalyst in “rebooting” the world economy. For this reason I believe that time is “of the essence” and that the RVs will take place on the UN schedule rather than being delayed to the end of this month.

[enorrste] Of course, I could be wrong. This last part is my “analysis” of the situation and is not FACT or even INTEL. It is my opinion based on one clearly written article from the UN but also backed by intel from sources who should be “in the know”.

[enorrste] I really appreciate those of you who can respect the efforts that we Three Amigos put out on your behalf. As we have each stated separately as well as together, other than our own dinars, we have no horse in this race.

[enorrste] We want this as badly as you do. We take no pay for our efforts, period. Quite frankly, we all resent people who, not knowing any of us, impute evil motives into us for no apparent reason. It saddens us all deeply to think that people would even consider that we would have ulterior motives. After all, we don’t gain anything by being wrong except the same or greater frustration that you all feel as well.

[gankans] Amen to that.

[enorrste] We are aware that we have most recently been castigated by “ilikeitinthehiney”. For the life of me I cannot figure out what motivated him to be so vile. But I do know one thing: Rodney, Terry, and I will not engage with anyone like that for any reason. What’s the point?

[enorrste] Ironically, “ilikeitinthehiney” has named dates and rates for much longer than the Three Amigos, and he’s been wrong every time as well, just as we have. Yet we do not impute evil motives to his efforts. I think you all get the point.

[enorrste] I’ve enjoyed this ride very much and have been humbled at the adulation that many of you have thrown at my feet. My efforts are truly sincere and for your benefit (as well as my own!) and I deeply appreciate that you have been kind enough to tell me that I make a difference, however large or small.

[enorrste] Assuming the RV happens in the next few days, I look forward to getting my trusts in order quickly and then planning a gala bash for all who want to get together and celebrate our new gift from God. In the meantime, I’ll keep my powder dry.
